HomeGrid Forum Working With Z-Wave Alliance, DRSG | in News Departments > FYI | by Renew Grid on Tuesday 17 November 2009   |
HomeGrid Forum, a nonprofit trade group promoting the UN International Telecommunication Union's G.hn standard, has formed liaison agreements with the Demand Response and Smart Grid Coalition (DRSG) and Z-Wave Alliance.
The organization says it is working with DRSG and Z-Wave Alliance to ensure upcoming G.hn-based products and devices are compliant with the requirements for smart grid deployments. The G.hn standard is aimed at providing a single, unified technology for wired home networks.
"Having resources like HomeGrid Forum will help us better represent the smart grid industry in Washington," says Dan Delurey, executive director of the DRSG. "It will also give the members of HomeGrid Forum an additional way to stay aware of developments that may affect Smart Grid companies."
