SmartSynch Announces GridRouter EcoSystem | in News Departments > FYI | by Renew Grid on Tuesday 06 April 2010   |
SmartSynch Inc., a smart grid infrastructure company, has formed the GridRouter EcoSystem - a group of industry participants that will collaborate to establish an interoperable, IP-based communications business network for the smart grid.
SmartSynch says companies currently supporting the EcoSystem include AT&T, Motorola, Cooper Power Systems, Battelle, T-Mobile, Rogers Communications, Itron, Daviscomms USA, Futaba Corp. and AuthenTec. Companies that join the EcoSystem gain access to "a collaborative network of cross-vendor innovation," SmartSynch adds.
"The GridRouter EcoSystem presents a unique opportunity for the entire smart grid market to join forces and drive innovation while working towards a common goal," says Stephen Johnston, CEO of SmartSynch. "The market is at a turning point, and interoperability is crucial to bringing a nationwide smart grid to fruition, so we're spearheading that effort by fostering the GridRouter EcoSystem."
