eMeter Delivering SAP For Utilities, EnergyIP Interoperability

eMeter Corp. says real-time integration is now available between its EnergyIP meter data management system and SAP for Utilities solutions.
According to eMeter, whose solutions deliver interoperability with advanced metering infrastructure technologies, the new integration expands its host of services to include meter data unification and synchronization (MDUS) system integration with SAP. eMeter is one of the original "strategic vendor" members of the SAP Lighthouse Council.
"Working with SAP and the Lighthouse Council for the last two years enables us to ensure interoperability with the leader in utility business systems using the standard MDUS interface," says Larsh Johnson, eMeter's co-founder and chief technology officer.
The company adds that the new solution will give utilities real-time data validation and framing to support dynamic pricing programs, visibility into customer information, real-time event processing, and automated synchronization of SAP Billing and CIS with smart metering infrastructure.
